Infamous corsetiere, Mr Pearl, made his way down the runway, emblazoned with an intimidating flock of black swallows. Each one stood out against a background of blood red; threatening, menacing.

 Since then, the swallow has become a recurring symbol for McQ. Building on the original motif, artist Tom Tosseyn reimagined the swallow in 2016, giving it a fresh yet edgy, contemporary feel.
